Finally big blue is high above the horizon. Here are a few photos of the special event. Granted they don't look like much, but you know the moon is moving away from us at about an inch per year. When we, and the moon, were young it was so close that tides were well over 1,000 ft. So where were the Hawaiian surfer girls then? If I only knew.

That's a nice moon - but it really doesn't compare to David Witt mooning a school-bus full of kids from the front seat of his brother Bobby's car. Ah, memories...
